ATEX Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007
The ATEX 137 Directive 1999/92/EC was transposed into Irish law as the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations in 2007 Part 8 Explosive atmospheres at places of work.
The regulation requires employers of workplaces where explosive atmospheres may occur to be classified as hazardous or non-hazardous places.
The course provides an overview of the Directive and the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Part 8 and the application of the legislation within the workplace in order to achieve ATEX compliance.
Manual Handling Course
Manual handling training provides trainees with safe manual handling techniques through a comprehensive instructive and practical programme. Health & Safety legislation requires employees involved in manual handling (which includes activities such as lifting, pushing and pulling) at the workplace to complete sufficient training in correct manual handling techniques.
Behavioural Safety for Employees
Behavioural-based safety workshop provides an opportunity for a business to improve the company health and safety performance and reducing accidents. Through creating awareness as to how unsafe behavioural practices in the workplace can result in potential risk with regard to workplace safety. Certificate of Competence in Workplace Noise Assessment
This course presented by NISO in conjunction with Limerick Institute ofTechnology trains individuals to a competent level to assess and manage occupational noise exposure. Successful delegates will be awarded the NISO Certificate of Competency which is an internationally recognised competency standard for occupational noise exposure assessment. The course provides a practical and enjoyable non-academic way of acquiring the theoretical and the practical skills required as part of the process of becoming a competent person under the new noise regulations. The course includes a unique way of performing all noise calculations without maths or a calculator. Training will equip participants with the necessary skills to become competent in the assessment and management of occupational noise.

Chemical Risk Assessment
Chemical risk assessment training provides an overview of Regulation 4 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents) Regulations, S.I. 619 of 2001 and its requirements in the determination and assessment of the risk of hazardous chemical agents. The course will be of interest to personnel who are responsible for conducting risk assessments on chemicals covering, health and safety legislation, risk assessment techniques, MSDS, potential chemical health risks and a practical including the assessment of hazardous materials.
Fire Risk Assessment
Fire risk assessment training involves development of the essential skills and knowledge that are required to complete a thorough examination/inspection of the working environment for the potential of fire. Company Compliance under the Safety, Health and Welfare Act 2005 and the Safety, Health and Welfare (General Application) Regulations 2007 in context of the nature and spread of fire, fire risk assessments, fire prevention and fire containment is a requirement. Training would be applicable for Managers, Controllers, Safety Representatives and Fire Marshalls.

Overview of OHSAS 18001
An introduction to OHSAS 18001/18002, OHSAS 18001, which was published in 1999 and revised in 2007 with guidance notes OHSAS 18002 allowing companies to address health & safety issues within a structured and documented management system. The course makes comparison with OHSAS 18001 with ISO 9000 and ISO 14001, occupational health and safety risk assessment and the OHSAS 18001 certification process
OHSAS 18001 - Occupational Health & Safety Management System - Internal Auditor
The course provides training for personnel who wish to gain an understanding of OHSAS 18001 and develop skills necessary to become Internal Health and Safety Auditors. Auditing the system and identifying non-conformances and improvement opportunities is essential in ensuring effectiveness of the OHSAS 18001 management system
Legionella Awareness and Control
Legionella awareness and control training course will provide participants with the legal and technical knowledge required to operate cooling towers and air conditioning systems safely, to minimise the risk to health. Participants will understand how to carry out effective systems management and maintenance in accordance with the ACoP and guidance document on Legionellosis. The course will be of interest to personnel responsible for carrying out risk assessments on water, air conditioning and cooling tower systems. Participants will be expected to have an understanding of the configurations and functions of hot and cold water and cooling systems.
Lock Out / Tag Out
Lock out/Tag out (LOTO) or the Control of Hazardous Energy Source Standard provides training to participants on the completion of accurate procedures required for the safe operation of machinery and equipment during servicing or maintenance.
Hot work permit
Hot work permit training provides an understanding of the Legislation and guidance relating to 'Hot Works' and the need to control all 'Hot Works'. The course would be of interest to persons with responsibility to 'Authorise Hot Works'.
Permit to work
Permit to work training provides participants with the competence to apply permit writing techniques in their workplace in order to manage high risk activities safely. This course will be of interest to employees who are required to write permits to work, or work authorisations
Safety Representative Course
Under the Safety, Health and Welfare Act, 2005 workers may select and appoint, from among their fellow employees, a Safety Representative. The role of a Safety Representative will include undertaking of workplace inspections, accident investigations and being the point of contact for consultation or complaints on workplace health and safety matters. A safety representative course will provide comprehensive training for safety representative personnel to develop and support their role in the workplace.
Working at Heights
A Working at heights course will provide training covering the range of requirements relating to "work at height" under Part 4 and Schedule 5 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (SI No. 299 of 2007).
Confined Spaces
Confined spaces training provides participants with the competence to manage supervise or work within confined spaces. This course will be of interest to employees working in a confined space environment.
Risk Assessment and Safety Statement Course
This course provides an introduction to the risk assessment process and provides training for participants on the requirements for a workplace specific safety statement. The course covers legislation and risk assessment, training and development, contractor monitoring, safety statement development, review and maintenance and risk assessment methodology.

Health & Safety for the non- safety specialist provides an introduction to the key duties and responsibilities under health and safety law in Ireland. Workplace legislation has become increasingly complex and requires all levels of management to have a basic understanding of the issues, roles and responsibilities involved.
Certificate of Competence in HAND AND ARM VIBRATION Assessment
Certificate of competence hand-arm vibration course is a practical course, which includes a highly practical workshop covering the calculation of risk, instrumentation and accurate field vibration measurements on a variety of tools. It also covers the use of field vibration information from other hand-arm vibration database sources. Reviewing the health effects associated with use of vibrating equipment and will raise awareness of potential risk in the workplace. It Control of Vibration at Work under Chapter 2 of Part 5 of The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 requires employers to assess the risk associated with vibration, and reduce the risk to as low as reasonably practicable.
Safety and Health at Work (FETAC – Level 5)
CThis FETAC approved Safety and Health at Work course will provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to promote and maintain safety and health in the working environment. It will identify best health and safety practice and applicable health, safety and welfare legislation.

Construction Management Safety Training (CMST)
The course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce.
